Fishing Report January 2008

January has been a great month and we've been fishing November patterns since the weather has been warm. The cold spells that we've had have pushed the small bait out deep into the main channel. The big bait has remained in the creeks and the big stripers have stayed in the creeks as well. We've been catching most of our fish on shallow planers boards on the banks, with 8-10feet of freeline. Planer board fishing is so much durn fun! If we can get some good cold weather then jiggin' will be on big time, so it should be any day now.
